Established in 1997, SOSEC Nepal is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women, children, youth, Dalits, and marginalized communities in rural areas. With over 65 successful projects, SOSEC Nepal works in critical sectors including education, water, sanitation, hygiene, livelihood, climate change adaptation/disaster risk reduction (CCA/DRR), health, and human rights.
The organization partners with INGOs and government bodies to implement projects across 10 districts in Nepal. SOSEC Nepal also conducts advocacy at the provincial level to influence policies that benefit marginalized groups. Community involvement is a cornerstone of SOSEC Nepal’s work, and the organization ensures need-based interventions through participatory planning. SOSEC Nepal’s central office is located in Narayan Municipality-1, Nayabazar, Dailekh, with coordination and field offices in various districts.
